AN EVENT IN HONOR OF THE 25TH ANNIVERSARY OF TURKMEN NEUTRALITY WAS HELD IN THE CITY OF HERAT
On December 12, 2020, in the building of the Consulate of Turkmenistan in the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (Herat city), a festive event was held in honor of the 25th anniversary of the permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan.
The event was attended by the heads of local government institutions, higher educational institutions, the Chamber of Commerce and Investment, the Chamber of Industrial and Ore Products, the Chamber of Agricultural Products of Herat province, Afghan businessmen, the head of the IRA Foreign Ministry office in Herat, as well as representatives of the Turkmen diaspora in Herat.
During the event, the Consul of Turkmenistan A. Gochmyradov, the head of the IRA Foreign Ministry office in the city of Herat Aminullah Azadani, the head of the Islamic Solidarity Council of the Turkmens of western Afghanistan Amanullah Hakyar and others made speeches.
The Consul of Turkmenistan in Herat in his speech spoke about the achievements of Turkmenistan over the years of Neutrality, the role of neutral policy in maintaining and strengthening peace, security and sustainable development in the region and the world. It was also noted about the regularly developing Turkmen-Afghan relations.
The guests of the event emphasized that, at the initiative of Turkmenistan, December 12 was proclaimed International Day of Neutrality, and 2021 - the International Year of Peace and Trust.
Also, during the event, a video film dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the permanent Neutrality of Turkmenistan was shown, which made a great impression on the participants.
